Our standard drawbar for all common bikes and e-bikes. The standard low drawbar has a Weber bayonet lock for coupling to the Weber hitch installed on the bike. On the trailer itself, the drawbar is conveniently and securely clicked into the drawbar mount with the spring pin we developed ourselves. The triangular tube connection guarantees a twist-proof fit.
The standard drawbar is part of the scope of delivery of most Hinterher trailers and is available here as spare part or for diy builders.
Our standard drawbar with lock prevents quick disconnection of the trailer from the bike. For comprehensive theft protection, we recommend securing the complete trailer with a loop cable.
For taller users (over 1.85m), we recommend the 12 cm longer drawbar, which allows for more comfortable pulling and greater freedom of movement in hand cart mode. This drawbar is also lockable.

For narrow trailers where the usual off-center mounting of the drawbar adapter is not possible. A center drawbar with additional hull support is also recommended for boat transport, which should be mounted as far forward as possible. The boat hull is then easier to lash to the drawbar. This drawbar is lockable.
Contrary to some claims, the driving characteristics of a trailer are not positively influenced by the center drawbar, therefore the drawbar mounted on the left side of the trailer should be used as standard. The longer drawbar tube of the center drawbar 1 tends to increase the vibration movements under load.

The drawbar is mounted centrally on the towing vehicle and centrally on the trailer. The holes for the centered mounting position of the drawbar adapter are not standard in most models and must be drilled by hand afterwards. The mounting of the hitch on the respective towing vehicle must be solved individually.

The hitch must be selected and, if necessary, adjusted depending on the type of mounting. The drawbar mount remains in its standard position on the trailer.
High-quality drawbar extension with 50cm or 80 cm length for the standard drawbar system. The drawbar extension is connected to the drawbar with a milled adapter piece almost free of play (and rattle). A maximum of two drawbar extensions should be used, as the cornering behavior and running stability of the trailer change and the drawbar is otherwise too heavily loaded. Driving with drawbar extensions takes some getting used to and should definitely be practiced. We recommend equipping the drawbar mount with the reinforcement bracket if the trailer does not already have it installed. The additional forces on all drawbar components increase considerably due to the drawbar extensions. Overlong loads should be firmly lashed to the drawbar.
When ordering the drawbar extension(s) together with a trailer, you will receive the complete parts ready drilled.

The reinforcement bracket makes our standard drawbar mount more robust. Made from aluminium it is easily retrofittable and absorbs the load peaks better than the drawbar mount. We recommend installing it on all small to medium sized bike trailers that are often used with loads above 45 kg or/and on rough roads where more vibrations and bumbs occur.
In principle, most of our trailers can also be used as cargo rickshaws on foot. The divisible drawbar is clicked into the two standard drawbar mounts and has a newly developed, tool-free and completely play-free quick-release system.

For a rickshaw with a double handle pair, the longest version should always be chosen because of the heel clearance, especially for long walks.
When using a single, centre-mounted rickshaw drawbar, a shorter handle can/should be chosen because of easier manoeuvrability. Especially also if the trailer so equipped is to be used for shopping.
