The ES hitch is the heavy-duty version of the Weber E hitch for a towing capacity of 100 kg. Please note that this only applies if you mount the ES directly onto your frame (for example where the kickstand is mounted). If installed on the rear wheel axle with quick-release skewers the towing capacity decreases to 80 kg. Still, the hitch is much more robust due to the fact that the internal joint is made from stainless steel.For trailers running on two axle the maximum towing capacity increases to 200 kg.The Es hitch can be ordered with the mounting plates of the Weber EH, EP, EU or ER variants. The Weber EK hitch fits the Brompton dropout in the form modified by us.
With this solution, the anti-rotation lock is achieved using a special Nordlock washer. However, as this anti-twist device can only take a limited load, the maximum tensile load is limited to 60 kg. However, you should not hang more than this on a folding bike anyway.

If your bikes frame has no holes for the installation of a kickstand and the Weber hitch cannot be installed at the rear wheel axle the Weber BO hitch could be a solution.

Exclusive trailer hitch from Hinterher with WEBER coupling for our high drawbars. Approved for load transport. Towing load theoretically up to 80 kg, recommended up to 45 kg (depending on seatpost material and design). Tool-free assembly with quick release. Not suitable for lightweight seatposts or carbon seatposts. The seatpost must protrude at least 5.5 cm to be able to mount the hitch. Two different inserts allow the adaptation to different seatpost diameters.

In case there is too little space for mounting the Weber EP hitch in the original way the EP Adapter should be used. With the EP Adapter the EP hitch can be mounted directly underneath the kickstand on the frontside of the bike.
Bicycles with a thru-axle need a special Weber replacement thru-axle for the installation of the Weber hitch EL, E or ES (order seperately). For finding the right version of the Weber thru-axle, you need to know the thread pitch of your existing thru axle. This thread pitch is either 1.0 or 1.5 or 1.75. The thread pitch is normally engraved on the thru-axle itself and looks similiar like this: M12x1 (here the thread pitch would be 1.0).

In case the quick release skewer on the rear wheel of your bike has not enough threads left to accomodate the Weber EL, E or ES hitch you can replace it with this extra long quick release skewer.
For mounting the Weber EL, E or ES hitch on frames, where the rear wheel axle is set back within the frame. Because the Weber hitch needs a certain amount of space this special polygon acts as a reducer to bridge the distance to the outer boundaries of your frame.Please measure the distance from the rear axle to the outside of the frame tubes sourrounding the rear wheel axle.

If your bike has hub gears like Shimano Nexus, Alfine or Enviolo, you need this special "Polygon" from Weber in order to install the Weber EL, E or ES hitch on the rear wheel axle. The Weber hitch needs a special Polygon to ensure that the hitch itself can not rotate around its own axis. But because the hub gear systems need exactly the same part for themself you have to replace this existing part that works for the hub system as well as the Weber hitch.Here is how to find the right "Polygon" for your bike:1. What is the manufacturer of your gear hub (e.g. Shimano)?2. What color has the existing washer underneath the big bolt on your rear-wheel axle (on the left side in driving direction)? With these two pieces of information you are able to find the matching Weber Polygon for you.
