We developed this injection-moulded part ourselves for our Multi-Frame system. It is inserted into each end of a longitudinal tube. This allows the longitudinal tubes to be inserted into the holes of the U-brackets. A tension cable can be passed through the hole inside the linkage, which tightens and stiffens the whole multi-frame system.
So that the thru axle can not slip out of the hub of the wheel, it is held in position with a rubber ring. If the wheel is clicked into our plastic axle mount, a spacer is additionally required on the thru axle.
When using the continuous stainless steel axles, only a rubber ring is needed.
