This axle adapter is used to be able to mount the Weber EL, E or ES hitch directly on the axle of a hub gear. The axle adapter is necessary when the direct mounting of the hitch on the axle is not possible for space reasons, for example, because the frame is offset inward at this point.
The axle adapter is screwed onto the axle instead of the cap nut. The anti-rotation device of the hub gear remains in place. The Weber coupling is then screwed onto the outside.
