We have developed the Hinterher coupling and the SL stainless steel drawbars to create an unrivaled robust system for the professional and daily use of bicycle trailers. We recommend bolting the Hinterher coupling to the most robust part of the bicycle frame. If necessary, our coupling system can be repaired worldwide with the simplest of means, as we rely entirely on widely used DIN dimensions and industry standards.
For mounting on bicycle axles, quick-release axles, thru axles, etc
Clutch no. 11 is suitable for rear wheel axle assembly. It consists of the Weber clutch plate EL/E/ES and the rear Weber stainless steel adapter. The Weber coupling plates are approved for max. 80 kg (EL/E) and 100 kg (ES). Therefore, our stainless steel drawbar/coupling can only be loaded with max. 80/100 kg when used in conjunction with this coupling. In principle, it is also possible to switch back and forth between the Weber coupling and the rear stainless steel coupling using the appropriate tool (if the respective assembly instructions are observed). For heavy trailers, ensure that the bicycle frame is sufficiently stable.
